    We all know that not every student is created equal. Most professors say that they don't have any favorite student, but some students own distinct characteristics which mark them as an ideal student.

    These students are naturally endearing to teachers, and it is difficult not to embrace them because they make your job easier. Read on to discover the top 7 characteristics all great students hold. Here we go.

    1. Leadership

    Leadership qualities are often natural. It is also a skill that develops over time. Being honest is a significant key to being a leader. If you are a leader amongst your classmates, you have the responsibility to lead by example and the ultimate power to motivate others to be successful.

    2. Honest

    Honesty is hard but it’s worth it. It may be intimidating to some but most of the people appreciate it. A person honest with others is likely to be himself/ herself. It helps a student conquer his/her weaknesses and turn them into strengths.

    3. Passionate, Original & Creative

    The ability to come up with new ideas, and creativity are not done by all. It is always good to give your opinions. As long as you can justify your thoughts and convey the message, teachers and students will appreciate your inputs.

    4. Ask Questions

    When you are curious, do not understand anything, or you observe something, then it is always better to clear to out after the lecture or maybe in between when the teacher asks for doubts. Asking questions is beneficial to the class as there is a possibility that if you have a question, there are other students who have the same problem but fear to ask or wait till someone asks.

    5. Get involved

    Getting involved in extra-curricular activities, helps you in being confident and improve your academic success. These activities also provide opportunities to take on leadership roles, and they usually teach people to work together as a team to achieve a common goal.

    6. Understand others Perspective

    The academic benefit is not only about putting forward your views, but it is also about being able to engage productively with somebody who has a different perspective. Learn to listen, to argue constructively, and not to be defensive about your ideas, and you'll be a better student, and you'll encourage others as well.

    7. Good Time Management

    The ability to plan your time and schedule is another incredibly important ability. Successful students should plan their studies, semesters well in advance to ensure they can attend all the classes, and also have time for researching and working on assignments.
